I am back from my time out. The last few days were filled with stillness, wide views of nature, and above all, a quietness that often finds little room in our daily lives. During this time, I felt it deeply once again: when it comes to the connection with our animals, it is almost never about doing. It is about receiving.

Perhaps you know this from your own life with your animal. We often feel that we must actively achieve something to maintain the connection or to receive answers. We concentrate, we send questions, we try to keep the channel open almost through sheer willpower. We want to do everything right and look for solutions to every little problem.

But the most intense moments I experience with my dogs, Maja and Ida, don’t happen when I am trying particularly hard. I experience them when I become very still.

During my holiday, the space around me was empty and wide. In this vastness, the subtle frequencies of my animals suddenly had so much room. And in the process, it became clear to me: we don’t actually need a holiday or empty calendar pages to reach this state. The silence I am speaking of is not a place we travel to, but a decision within our hearts.

We often think we have to withdraw for hours to be “energetically ready.” But the deepest connection often arises in the smallest breaks. It’s the moment you set the laundry aside, sit on the floor for a moment, and just breathe. The moment you stop planning the next task for a heartbeat and simply feel the weight of your animal or watch the gentle rise and fall of their chest.

In these seconds, a vacuum is created. And it is exactly into this vacuum that heart energy flows.

We can allow ourselves to let go of the expectations we place on ourselves. It’s not about receiving a crystal-clear message in words. It’s about being present. When we stop searching, we begin to perceive. Perhaps it is just a feeling of warmth, a deep sigh from your animal, or a delicate image that appears before your inner eye.

Your animal is always clear. It is always there. It is often us who disturb the reception with all our internal noise.

I have brought back the certainty from my break that this space of silence is available to us everywhere. I want to invite you today to allow yourself such a moment right in the middle of your bustle. Not only when everything is done, but right in the midst of it. Just sit with your animal. Breathe. Be there. Without wanting to achieve anything.

What changes in your shared field when you let go of the “wanting” for a few minutes?

I am so happy to be back and to hold space for you and your animal once again with this new clarity.

Trust your perception.

With love, Tanja
