I wish you a gentle, light-filled and inspiring new year. May 2026 bring clarity, joy, connection and many small wonders to you and your animal – the quiet ones and the radiant ones.
I hope you made it into the new year with ease and could take a moment to breathe, reflect and gather energy for everything that wants to unfold in the coming months.
Maybe you can feel – like so many of us – a desire to live more consciously, to create more joy and more meaningful moments in your everyday life. And perhaps this is also a beautiful opportunity to ask:
What would your animal wish for this new year?
What would make their heart light up?
In my sessions, many animals tell me that they long for connection – for shared time, new impressions, variety, but also peace and a sense of being deeply met by their humans.
Today I’d love to share Maja’s perspective with you.
Her answer to the topic of boredom – or rather: an enriched life together – is a beautiful inspiration for how we can shape 2026 with more awareness.
Maja: What we doggies wish for
I like it when something is happening, when I can do things together with my humans. I love experiencing something new. That’s why I think vacations are sooo great! I get to see interesting places, my humans have much more time for me, and we’re all together. I know that this can’t always be the case and that you humans have other things to take care of, too.
Sometimes we would like to be more involved in your lives. Tanja sometimes sends me pictures of things she sees. Like the dog who travels with his human in a camper and even goes paragliding! Or she asks me for my opinion.
But what I love most is when we play together! When she focuses only on me. You could do that more often. Sleeping, dozing and watching the world go by is nice too, but playing is something very special.
We doggies want new input – scents, exercises, tasks. We want to be challenged.
I experience so much more here with my family than I did before. Back then I was bored, and going for a walk was my only highlight!
And I also hear from other animals that they want to be challenged, experience new things or feel needed. We love it when we are involved in your life, when you talk to us and share things with us. It doesn’t have to be telepathic – your words reach us through the intention with which you speak.
What does this mean for us humans?
Maybe you’d like to take a little time in the coming days or weeks to feel into this:
When does your animal’s heart truly open?
What gives them energy, joy and a sense of being seen?
It can be small things – a new game, a different walking route, a conscious sniffing experience, a loving conversation, a shared ritual or a few minutes of undivided attention.
Often it’s not the big gesture, but the genuine one.
Our animals are so sensitive.
They feel when we’re present.
They feel when we soften.
And they feel when we consciously make time for them.
Maybe this could be your shared intention for 2026:
More connection. More small adventures. More togetherness.
I’m looking forward to hearing from you – and I’m sending you and your animal the warmest wishes for a wonderful 2026.
Tanja
