Yesterday, I took part in Medi-Tieren – a silent, mindful meditation in the presence of llamas and sheep.
We humans were quiet, observing, simply present.
And the animals? They didn’t seek physical contact with us.
Yet they were connected – in such a clear and natural way.
With one another. With us. With the earth. With the moment.

They communicated without words.
A glance, a bit of distance, a movement – that was enough to maintain their little community.
No sounds, no drama, no pushing.
Just a quiet togetherness.

And I thought to myself:
How often do we, as humans, still experience true connection?

I’ve been noticing more and more how easily we get lost in consuming.
We take in content, information, impressions, scrolling, listening to podcasts, watching stories…
But do we give anything back?
Do we share what is truly alive within us?
Or are we already mentally moving on before anything had a chance to land?

Yet that pause – that stillness – is exactly what we need.
Connection arises where we are present.
Where we notice what’s going on inside us.
And where we have the courage to share it.

Because life is exchange.
Not just through words – but through presence, real feeling, resonance.
When we speak about what we’ve experienced, when we share a thought, a feeling, or an impulse with someone else,
something begins to move.
We process. We anchor. We inspire.
And we are touched in return.

Animals show us how.
Even those who live more solitary lives – like cats or wild animals – are embedded in a greater web of resonance.
Alone – and yet never truly alone.
Connected to the earth, to the rhythms, to their surroundings.

We humans are herd animals. We need each other.
Not in a superficial way – but deeply, honestly, truly.
And we grow through that. Again and again.

✨ Maybe today you’d like to reflect:
Where can you invite more connection into your life?

– A thoughtful comment on a post that moved you?
– A genuine sentence in your next conversation?
– A loving glance, a small gesture, some real listening?

It doesn’t have to be big.
But when you share what is alive in you, life begins to flow through you again.
And then, a brief encounter becomes a real connection.
The ordinary becomes shared experience.
Distance becomes closeness.

What has moved you lately?
What might want to be shared – instead of being buried under the next input?

I’d love to hear about it – or maybe you’ll share it with someone who walks with you on your path.

From heart to heart,
Tanja
